We are once again offering spectators the opportunity to observe the dramatic Bloukrans River Crossing and still be back in time witness the first finishers cross the line and the possibility of history being made. Spectators will be collected from the Central Race Hub at 05:00 (Challenge) and 06:00 (RUN) on the morning of the event and transported to the top of the E6 Emergency Exit above the infamous Bloukrans River mouth.
From there spectators will hike the 200 vertical meters down to the Otter Trail and onto the pebble beach where they will see the participants attempt the crossing.
Spectators will be back at the Finish Line before the top athletes are expected.
Note that participants on the Spectator trip to Bloukrans must be aware that they will have to hike a strenuous 600 meters (200 vertical meters) down to the trail and then back up again and should be of a fitness that allows them to undertake such a hike. NOTE No Public access to the MTO Plantations above the trail is permitted and anybody is ONLY allowed to access the trail by booking this spectator trip.
The nature of this event is that it is weather dependent and should the race director make the decision to cancel the event due to weather conditions that could endanger the safety of participants there will be no refunds.
TICKETS ARE PRE-SOLD ONLINE AND TO BE COLLECTED AT CENTRAL RACE HUB ON REGISTRATION DAY.
