OTTER CHALLENGE

Venue: De Vasselot Rest Camp, Natures Valley in the Garden Route National Park.

Registration

10h00-16h00

First stop is registration. Pick up your race bib and timing chip, collect any event apparel you’ve ordered and complete the equipment and environmental checks.

Prologue

10h30-16h30

The prologue is your first taste of the Otter. A short time-trial style run to be completed after registration to determine your seeding and starting time in the field the following day.

Briefing

17h30

Know what to expect the next day. Starting times, Abangeni and other important information about the course is covered during race briefing as well as the weather alert level announcement that determines what kit you’ll need. It’s essential to be there.


Challenge - Day 2
7 OCTOBER 2021

Shuttle

05h00-05h10

Venue: Race Hub, De Vasselot Rest Camp 

Participants can get dropped or drive themselves to the Race Hub in the morning and climb on a shuttle to the start. These shuttles depart at 5AM from Natures Valley to the start in Storms River.

06h00-06h30

Venue: Storms River Mouth Rest Camp
Your starting batch and time will be published after the briefing.

Cut-off

17h00

Time allowed is 11 hours.

Awards Dinner

18h30-19h30

Congratulations! You’ve done it! A well-deserved finale dinner is served before the awards ceremony. 
This dinner is included as part of athletes race entry fee. However, partners will have to pre-book, there is a kids menu also available.

Awards Ceremony

Venue: Race Hub, De Vasselot Rest Camp, Natures Valley.
Once all the winners have been awarded, it is time to relax and enjoy the party.
